In March 2019, Douglass Safety Systems (DSS) was looking for someone to maintain its website and take its digital spaces to the next level. Based in Sanford, MI DSS was a statewide Fire Equipment Dealer. Douglas Engwis founded DSS in 1994. Since business had changed so drastically since opening, Douglas met with me to go over the website and his hopes for moving forward with his business.
We discussed the look and feel of the current messages he was sending out. The website needed to be brightened and have more content added.
I started with the products offered by DSS. Each brand had specifics and needed its own posing. These postings also needed to be organized and sorted. The current DSS website worked for a few months before Douglas asked for it to be rebuilt for the new year and decade.
This is a recreation of the new DSS website. It went live on January 1, 2020. Happy New Year!
UPDATE: In the spring of 2021, Douglass Safety Systems was purchased by MES.
